prepublish.io is operated by ACLARO. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Who we are
prepublish.io is a pre-publish decision support tool for football content creators. We help creators review their thumbnails and titles before they publish.

2. What data we collect
When you use prepublish.io we may collect:
- Email address and channel size when you join our waitlist
- Thumbnail images you upload for review (processed and not stored beyond your session unless you are signed in)
- Video titles you submit for review (processed and not stored beyond your session unless you are signed in)
- Anonymous session data to maintain your review history on your device
- Review scores and feedback generated during your session
When you connect your YouTube channel (Creator Pro feature):
- Your YouTube channel ID and channel name
- Metadata from your recent videos including titles and descriptions
- Comment threads from your recent videos to provide channel-specific feedback
- We do not access your private data, financial information, or data from other Google services
- We do not store your comment data beyond your review session
- We do not modify, post to, or manage your YouTube channel in any way
- We request read-only access only
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide thumbnail and title review feedback specific to your content
- Calibrate scoring to your channel and audience where you have connected your YouTube channel
- Maintain your review history across sessions when you are signed in
- Send you waitlist and product updates if you have joined our waitlist
- Improve the accuracy of our feedback
We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your YouTube data for any purpose other than generating your review
- Store YouTube comment data after your review session ends
4. YouTube data
prepublish.io uses the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API to provide channel-aware reviews when you choose to connect your YouTube account.
Our use of YouTube data complies with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy including the Limited Use requirements.
By connecting your YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service at youtube.com/t/terms.
Data we access from YouTube Data API:
- Your channel name, ID, and thumbnail
- Your recent video titles and descriptions
- Comment threads from your recent videos
Data we access from YouTube Analytics API:
- Views per video
- Average view duration per video
- Channel-level analytics for the last 30 days
How we use this data:
- YouTube Data API data is used to calibrate your review feedback to your specific audience — what they respond to, what they debate, and what language they use
- YouTube Analytics data is used to show you how your published thumbnails and titles performed after publishing, so you can see whether your packaging decisions improved your results
- We do not use your YouTube data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing you with personalised packaging feedback
Data we do not access:
- Your private or unlisted videos
- Your financial or payment data
- Your YouTube Studio revenue data
- Any data from other Google services
- Any data from channels you do not own
Data retention:
- Comment data is fetched per review session and is not stored permanently
- Analytics data is fetched per session and is not stored permanently
- Channel metadata (name, ID, thumbnail, subscriber count) is stored in your account to identify your connected channel
- Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to fetch data on your behalf
Revoking access:
You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from your Account page in prepublish.io. You can also revoke access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing prepublish.io.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Thumbnail images uploaded for review are processed in memory and are not permanently stored unless you are signed in and have review history enabled.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use session storage and local storage to maintain your review history on your device. We use PostHog for product analytics in the EU region. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Object to how we use your data

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of prepublish.io after changes constitutes acceptance.
